Import & Export Code
A business entity must obtain an Import Export Code (IEC) to engage in the import and export of goods and services in India. The IEC is issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) and is the same as the entity’s PAN number.
IEC is essential for:
- Custom clearance of imported and exported goods
- Payment of customs duty on imports
- Facilitating the export of goods
However, IEC is not required for:
- Importing goods for personal use
- Import/export of specific services exempted by the government
We assist in obtaining:
- AD Code (Authorised Dealer Code)
- ICEGATE Registration
- AD Code Registration on the ICEGATE Portal
